Focus: Finals week! Final grades! Here we go! Feb. 1 to Feb. 3 are all minimum days with dismissal at 12:38PM.

Monday: Well, it's good to be back :O) Today is going to be about housekeeping. Collect all packets, here's your ONE class period to make up any missing parts of your packets from last week, your extra credit practice quiz (the questions on are last week's assignments page if you missed them), and any missing TRIO questions from last week (again, check last week's assignments page). 
  • TRiO work: 100 Project Points.
  • Week 17 Packet: 200 Homework Points.
  • Extra Credit Practice Quiz: 90 possible Test/Quiz points.

Acad. Lit Make-Up SCR Project: In a short paragraph (about half a page), explain Florence Kelley’s viewpoint on child labor and her reasons for why it should be stopped. (use P.107-108)

In her speech “Child Labor and Women’s Suffrage”, Florence Kelley argues that child labor should be reformed for children. She claims that child labor causes kids to lose their education. 

Tuesday: This will be our last instructional day of Semester 1. You will be given a quiz on Perseus worth 100 Quiz points. Remember, if you completed every single assignment from #41 (Caucasian Mummies) to this last Quiz, you will get 50% credit on all missing assignments. 

Wednesday: Minimum day. Per. 1 and Per. 2 Final.
English 9 Final: Come with paper and pen. You will be asked to write. Bring your best reading and writing skills. You will pass as long as your argument makes sense and is believable. Also, bring your English books! 
Acad. Lit Final: Lessons Learned, Victories Gained. Your job is to write a letter of advice to a student in Period 4 who will benefit from your expert advice. After writing it on paper, you will transfer it to the Acad. Lit Knowledge Building Community Wiki at: http://kbc.wikispaces.com/

Bagel Day!

Thursday: Per. 3 and Per. 4 Final. Minimum day
Acad. Lit Final: To be announced.

Friday: Per. 5 and Per. 6 Final. Minimum day
