Wednesday:
By today, you should have already turned in any essays that were required by your math teacher. This day is only for us as an English class. Our goal is to get every paper to at least a "3" on the rubric by the end of the period.
To that end, each student will be placed into one of three teams. In each team, students will work with a teacher who will lead revision for that team. This is the procedure:
  • Students review the rubric - what is required for a "3"? Which parts apply and which parts do not?
  • Review to the Right - students are each given time to review each essay. We'll start with 6, then 5, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 minutes. The goal is not to see everything - it's to build upon what someone else has already done.
  • Once your essay has been revised, go fix it.
  • Once that is done, print.
  • Finally, make a cover sheet for your Math+English project! It will go on top of your packet when it gets put on the wall. Be creative and have fun.... and have a halloween theme :)
