Focus: I won't be here on Monday!
  • Mid-term exam this week (wednesday)
  • Grades come out by the end of this week (thursday 4pm)
  • Warmup
  • Notes: On Segregation
  • HW: "Constructed Response" on pg. 40. Response must include details from the text (story), must explain why JR had to be "bigger than life", and should be about 5-8 sentences long.
    • Note: You should already have done #1-6 on page 40. If you haven't, do it now. It will be checked for tomorrow.
R180===
  • Spend only Period 3 on the above. Do not do #7 for HW.
  • Period 4: Go into rotations. Students should know what to do.
    • Jackie's Group: R180 computers first
    • Wendy's Group: Rbook, Read "The Black Death"; do p.40 & 41 all
    • Jose's Group: Library
  • Rotate every 20 minutes.
Tuesday: CT13 Heroism
Your mid-term will be on Wednesday. It will be a timed essay where you'll have to first complete an essay organizer, then write a four to five paragraph, one and a half to two page double spaced final draft.
  • No Warmup
  • Re-watch both videos.
  • Activity: According to each of these videos, what constitutes Heroism?
  • Read: P.27 to 32. Then, in your table teams, look for details that might constitute heroism. Highlight or underline them.
  • Knowledge Building Moment: Table teams each contribute at least one unique piece of evidence of heroism. We keep going around the table teams until there are no more unique contributions. Knowledge Artifact is then linked into the class website. A link to it is also posted on Edmodo.
  • HW:
    • Identify Cause & Effect, P.33
    • Identify, P.33
    • Identify & Elaborate, P.34 (needs to be a short paragraph of 3 to 5 sentences)
