Stalin, the Dog Who Went to High School
This was Stalin. We don't know where he was born, but we suspect he was an immigrant because he is a Jindo, and special breed of dog that is native to one of Korea's islands. In Korea, these dogs are considered special; they are designated as national treasures and it is considered wrong to chain them up. Stalin and Mr. Chow met one hot July day in a parking lot on the corner of Crenshaw and Wilshire in Mid-City. Stalin was pretty much about to die, and it cost about $500 to get Stalin to a doctor and have him brought back to health. After a week in the pound, Stalin followed Mr. Chow home and became his best friend. He also followed Mr. Chow to school many times, and this is what Mr. Chow's room used to look like. Stalin loved to learn!! And play. And eat. And sleep. And lick his paws.
